The Promise By the Haystack
Su Tinglan never imagined that the floral cloth jacket she dug out from a pile of old clothes would unravel a past spanning twenty-two years. During a heavy rainstorm in Baisha Village back then, young boy Yan Chenzhou hid in a haystack, where she handed him half a sweet potato, and where he secretly left behind a double-fish jade pendant before departing.
