The Jinx Descends the Mountain: I Bear All Calamities with My Body
A Tao has carried the stigma of a "jinx" since childhood. Mountain fires, collapsed storehouses, broken beams—whatever happened in the sect could always be blamed on her in the end. Until she was driven down the mountain, whereupon she simply started selling tofu in Qinghe Town, asking only for a bite to eat. But strangely enough, wherever she went, the people there were able to turn misfortune into good fortune; whenever someone else escaped a calamity, another wound appeared on her body. In the past everyone avoided her, but later they discovered that this girl seemed to be specially taking on bad luck for others. Just at this time, the Tingsong Sect's great calamity was about to arrive, and the sect leader personally descended the mountain—that "disaster star" they had driven away had become the sect's final hope.
