Her Shadow Lit Up His Ten Years
I am Wen Ying, an inheritor of the traditional art of Chinese shadow puppetry. At a product launch, Su Nianwei holds up a shadow puppet I carved when I was twelve and falsely claims to be the person who accompanied the blind Gu Yanzhou out of darkness all those years ago. She withholds the rent for my theater to threaten me and destroys every piece of physical evidence that could prove my identity. A fire also damages my voice. All I have left are my shadow puppetry skills and the unique secrets hidden within the performances. Step by step, I confront her. With the keepsake broken and all the evidence gone, Gu Yanzhou is convinced that someone else is the person he has been searching for. How can I use the shadows to expose this deception and uncover the truth about the past we have kept hidden for ten years?
