The Old Boat My Father Left Behind Carries Me to Turn the Tide Against the Wind
After six years of marriage, Li Hai's relationship comes to an end. Not only does he receive nothing in the divorce, but he also discovers that the 600,000 yuan he painstakingly saved over years of fishing trips has already been transferred by his ex-wife to her gambling-addicted younger brother. They even threaten to destroy his only cherished possession: the old fishing boat left behind by his father. With nowhere else to turn, Li Hai discovers his father's belongings hidden in a secret compartment in the cabin: a yellowed nautical journal and a roll of antique nautical charts. It turns out that the supposedly unlucky boat, despised by the entire village, holds a treasure capable of changing his fate. Facing one obstacle and scheme after another, Li Hai takes the boat out to sea and begins his journey to turn his life around amid raging waves and storms.
