The Village Belle Chen Hong's Life of Misguided Love
Chen Hong and Song Liang, the village chief's son, grew up together as childhood sweethearts and seemed destined to marry. After Chen Hong's mother helped with the funeral arrangements for Song Liang's grandfather, she was struck and killed by a car driven by Song Zhiqiang, Song Liang's older brother, who fled the scene. Fearing that a marriage between Chen Hong and Song Liang would bring the two families into close contact and expose the truth, the Song family opposed the marriage when Chen Hong's father proposed it. Under pressure, Song Liang started dating another woman. Later, Chen Hong's father happened to see Song Zhiqiang repairing his car and grew suspicious. The Song family then decided to have Song Liang marry Chen Hong, hoping to use the marriage alliance to conceal their crime.
