I Just Happened to Hear the Inner Voices of Animals
Veterinarian Zhang Tao and his senior schoolmate Song Yuan partnered to establish a pet hospital two years ago. As the hospital's technical backbone, Zhang Tao worked tirelessly day and night, helping the hospital achieve an annual net profit of 3 million yuan. On the day profits were to be distributed, Song Yuan, backed by his future mother-in-law Zhao Meihua, offered only 120,000 yuan in cash, attempting to exploit Zhang Tao's gratitude for his past support and cheat him out of his rightful share. Even worse, Zhang Tao's girlfriend of five years, Song Wei, Song Yuan's younger sister, coldly sided with her brother and accused Zhang Tao of being ungrateful. Deeply disappointed, Zhang Tao decisively withdrew his investment and called off the engagement, taking the orthopedic equipment he had purchased himself before walking away resolutely into the rainy night.
