The Life-Taking Wine at the Birthday Banquet
The highly toxic industrial alcohol stored by liquor distillery owner Chen Yang is stolen by a villager, Zhao Decai, who mistakes it for fine liquor and plans to serve it as the birthday wine at his father's eightieth birthday celebration. Upon discovering the theft, Chen Yang immediately warns the entire village and personally visits Zhao to stop him. But too proud to admit that he stole the alcohol, Zhao even pressures his father into drinking the poison. In the end, the old man dies despite emergency treatment, and Zhao brings disaster upon himself, suffering the consequences of his own actions.

L'alcool industriel extrêmement toxique conservé par Chen Yang, propriétaire d'une distillerie, est volé par Zhao Decai, un villageois qui le prend pour une excellente bouteille d'alcool et compte le servir à l'occasion des 80 ans de son père. Dès qu'il découvre le vol, Chen Yang alerte immédiatement tout le village et se rend personnellement chez Zhao pour l'en empêcher. Mais trop fier pour reconnaître son vol, Zhao Decai refuse d'avouer la vérité et va même jusqu'à forcer son père à boire l'alcool empoisonné. Finalement, le vieil homme meurt malgré les tentatives de réanimation, et Zhao Decai provoque une terrible catastrophe dont il doit lui-même subir les conséquences.
