The Two Lies in the Family
Fraternal twins Chen Yue and Chen Yu were intentionally alienated by their parents since childhood using two sets of contrasting narratives. The younger sister was told that all family money had to be saved for her older brother's bride price, while the older brother was told that all resources were being used to spoil the younger sister. Hating each other for over a decade, both worked desperately, scrimped, and saved, sending money home on schedule every month, yet both lived in poverty and destitution. Pushed to their wits' end, the two met unexpectedly at a convenience store. After comparing accounts, they exposed their parents' scam of "divide-and-rule," cleared up years of misunderstandings, and re-established their belated sibling bond. Faced with their parents crying poverty and relatives gathering in full force to press them step by step, the siblings joined forces to present ironclad proof and strike back, reclaiming their new lives!
