City Lights, Dust Along the Road
Forty-four-year-old night-shift driver Chen Jianguo travels through the city's lights, working tirelessly to make ends meet. In the back seat, he has carried people burdened by disappointment and grievances, while also receiving unexpected kindness from strangers. He once shouldered life's heavy burdens alone, but after growing weary, he came to understand that grievances must be spoken aloud and that family deserves more of his time. He takes the initiative to share household responsibilities, care for his wife and daughter, and plan everyday expenses with his wife. There is no sudden fortune or spectacular rise to success, only the resilience of ordinary people. A family moving forward together, showing mutual understanding and kindness to strangers, can make even the most ordinary days warm and full of light.
