The young Liu Chi was born with an ugly face, yet possessed an eidetic memory and the uncanny skill to pinpoint positions by the wind. Having mingled in the Beggar Gang for three years, he secretly learned countless martial arts, waiting only for an opportunity to turn his fate around. By serendipity, he became a disciple of the mysterious master Xiao Daoren, only to learn that his senior martial brother Yang Tianchi was trapped in Zhaojiaping, his life hanging in the balance. To rescue his senior brother, Liu Chi ventured into a bloody battlefield of inter-county clashes, fighting side by side with the cold swordswoman Honggu and the grandmaster Jin Luohan. Infiltrating the Kongtong branch alone, he outwitted formidable foes such as Gan Liuzi and Gan Quezi, retrieving the antidote amidst a siege of venomous needles. As the divine eagle lies dying and a massive clash looms, the legend of an ugly beggar has only just begun.
