Husband and Wife Both Travel to the Ming: You Become the Empress, I Become the Imperial Son-in-Law
A married couple travels back in time to the late Ming Dynasty. The husband, Zhang Kun, formerly an insurance salesman, becomes Li Zicheng, while his wife, Li Nan, formerly a university history lecturer, becomes Empress Zhou, the wife of the Chongzhen Emperor. Neither knows that the other has also traveled through time. Zhang Kun focuses on building up his strength, conquering cities and expanding his territory, while Li Nan sets out to eliminate the Donglin faction and the Eight Great Shanxi Merchants, while reforming the powerful gentry of Jiangnan. Unaware of each other's identities, the couple engage in a battle of wits from opposite sides.

Un couple voyage ensemble jusqu'à la fin de la dynastie Ming. Le mari, Zhang Kun, ancien vendeur d'assurances, devient Li Zicheng. Son épouse, Li Nan, ancienne enseignante d'histoire à l'université, devient l'impératrice Zhou, épouse de l'empereur Chongzhen. Aucun des deux ne sait que l'autre a également voyagé dans le temps. Zhang Kun se consacre à renforcer ses forces, conquérir des villes et étendre son territoire. De son côté, Li Nan cherche à éliminer la faction Donglin et les huit grands marchands du Shanxi, tout en réorganisant les élites locales du Jiangnan.
