Three Thousand Four Reimbursements Drag the Company Down
To secure a million-yuan order, I treated a client to a meal costing 6,400 yuan. Unexpectedly, the company suddenly introduced a new rule limiting reimbursement for a single business meal to just 3,000 yuan. After seeking help from various people to no avail, I reluctantly negotiated with the client to split the cost, causing the deal to fall through. As the negative publicity spread, the company lost clients one after another and fell into trouble. I chose to resign and join a new company. My former employer, blinded by its cold, short-sighted policies, ultimately found itself on the brink of bankruptcy.
