Mother-in-law Zheng Guifang goes to the city to help out in the household of her son Su Jianping, enduring long-term scheming from daughter-in-law Hou Yalin, brother-in-law Hou Liang, and mother-in-law Pan Meiyun. Su Jianping accidentally checks the accounts and discovers that their family's wealth is constantly being subsidized to Hou Yalin's natal family relatives.
