In the early 1980s, the spring tide of reform surged. Xu Zhuohua, who returned from studying abroad, took the initiative to win orders for the factory and entered the technical team in order to track down the truth behind the disappearance of her father Xu Zhenguo, who served as the deputy director of the Swallow Dance Factory. Together with Lu Huaiyuan, the deputy director dedicated to reform—moving from mutual probing to mutual trust—they worked hand in hand to uncover the truth and promote product innovation. This not only brought her father safely back and rescued the factory from crisis, but their jointly developed "Swallow Dance" brand tape recorder swept across the country. The advertisement "Swallow Dance, Swallow Dance, a song comes with a flood of affection!" was broadcast on CCTV and sung throughout the north and south of China, propelling the Swallow Dance brand into glory. Xu Zhuohua, die aus dem Ausland zurückgekehrt war, übernahm die Initiative, Aufträge für die Fabrik zu gewinnen, und trat dem technischen Team bei, um die Wahrheit über das Verschwinden ihres Vaters Xu Zhenguo, der als stellvertretender Direktor der Yanwu-Fabrik tätig war, aufzuklären. Zusammen mit Lu Huaiyuan, dem reformwilligen stellvertretenden Direktor – vom gegenseitigen Abtasten bis zum gegenseitigen Vertrauen –, arbeiteten sie Hand in Hand, um die Wahrheit aufzuklären und die Produktinnovation voranzutreiben. In diesem Prozess brachten sie nicht nur ihren Vater sicher zurück und befreiten die Fabrik aus der Krise; das gemeinsam entwickelte Kassettenrekorder-Modell der Marke „Yanwu“ eroberte das ganze Land im Sturm. Die Werbung „Yanwu, Yanwu, ein Lied bringt ein Meer von Zuneigung!“ wurde im CCTV ausgestrahlt und im ganzen Land gesungen, wodurch die Marke Yanwu zu Ruhm gelangte, während die beiden im Laufe ihres Kampfes auch zu Lebenspartnern heranwuchsen.
