After accidentally transmigrating into an ancient imperial harem, Jiang Wan binds herself to a system and mistakenly uses an Obedience Card that is valid for only one day. Believing she can control the tyrant Xiao Chengyuan forever, she spends six months bossing him around and doing whatever she pleases. When she discovers the truth about the card, she is horrified and becomes convinced that Xiao Chengyuan has secretly been plotting to kill her. She hurriedly packs up her treasures and attempts to flee in the middle of the night, only to run into Shen Jingshu and cause a misunderstanding that gets her caught on the spot. Her repeated attempts to test the waters and avoid Xiao Chengyuan are constantly thrown off by his unusual reactions. Eventually, the misunderstanding is cleared up: Xiao Chengyuan had fallen for her long ago and had merely been pretending to obey her. The two finally confess their feelings and Jiang Wan begins her happily ever after.

Dopo essere finita accidentalmente nell'harem imperiale dell'antichità, Jiang Wan viene legata a un sistema. Per errore, però, utilizza una Carta di Obbedienza Assoluta che ha una validità di appena un giorno. Convinta di poter controllare per sempre il tiranno Xiao Chengyuan, per sei mesi lo comanda a bacchetta e si comporta come meglio crede. Quando scopre la verità sulla carta, è terrorizzata e si convince che Xiao Chengyuan stia segretamente tramando per ucciderla. In tutta fretta raccoglie i suoi tesori e cerca di fuggire nel cuore della notte, ma si imbatte in Shen Jingshu, provoca un malinteso e viene colta sul fatto. I suoi numerosi tentativi di sondare la situazione ed evitare Xiao Chengyuan vengono continuamente scombussolati dalle sue reazioni insolite. Alla fine, il malinteso viene chiarito: Xiao Chengyuan si era innamorato di lei già da tempo e aveva sempre soltanto finto di obbedirle. Dopo essersi confessati i propri sentimenti, i due iniziano una vita felice e Jiang Wan dà inizio al suo lieto fine.
