Eight-Year-Old Ling'er: Bringing Younger Brother North to Find Father
Reborn and returned, eight-year-old Ye Ling'er is single-mindedly devoted to protecting her young brother A-bao, hoping to find their father who is far away serving as a soldier at the frontier. The senior family members show partiality to the eldest branch's descendants in all matters, leaving Ling'er and her younger brother uncared for over a long period; the clothing and provisions sent back by their father never managed to fall into the hands of the two. By a stroke of good fortune, she comes to possess a spiritual field space, capable of storing grain and growing medicinal herbs. When everything is settled properly, she packs her bags, takes A-bao, and embarks on the long road north to look for her father with whom all contact has been lost, praying for the family to be reunited.
