In the 1970s, the hunter Cheng Tieshan disappeared into the mountains. His wife, Lin Xiulan, and young daughter, Duoduo, were kicked out by their in-laws, left freezing and starving. In despair, Duoduo reveals a magical gift to bond with animals. Roe deer deliver wild pheasants, sables bring ginseng, and squirrels dig up gold. Mother and daughter turn their lives around with gifts from wild animals. A wolf pack guides the way to rescue Cheng Tieshan, and the family establishes their own independent household, becoming a wealthy ten-thousand-yuan family through medicinal herbs and wood carvings, while also leading the whole village to fish through the famine. Eldest aunt Qian Caifeng sits idly by as human traffickers abduct Duoduo to seize their fortune. At the critical moment, wolves and Siberian tigers storm out to besiege the criminals' hideout and save all the kidnapped children. The villains are brought to justice, and Little Lucky Star's family thrives more and more each day.
