Five-year-old trainee mountain guardian Jiang Manman takes her black dog Guodi down the mountain to search for the Five Elements Spirit Seals in order to wake her foster grandmother. The paper crane, rain frog, stove spirit, mirror fox, and stone lion each have a grievance, and each has a little bad habit that gives everyone a headache. As Manman mediates quarrels, handles matters, and learns city life, she discovers that the person stealing the spirit seals is Li Zhaochuan, Grandma’s former disciple. He is determined to open the Wuzhou Gate to keep the illusion of his deceased daughter. In the end, Manman joins humans and spirits to repair the old pact, protecting their home without sacrificing any one person.
