Gu Fan, the head of the Dragon God Temple who shook overseas, lived in seclusion in Jiangcheng, only wanting to enjoy the peace of the market. Meeting white-collar worker Su Wanqing harassed by local ruffians at the night market, he stepped forward and beat back the evil-doers. When the local boss brought people for revenge, after knowing his true identity, he apologized in panic. Later, when Su Wanqing was made things difficult for, Gu Fan used resources to punish the evil merchants according to rules. He hid peerless strength in ordinariness, held gentleness in his heart to guard kind people, adhered to the original intention of punishing evil and promoting good, and interpreted an urban story with both chivalry and warmth.
