From the turbulent streets of Shanghai to the mysteries of Nanjing, from an old mansion in southern Fujian to the depths of the Qinling Mountains, dark forces use forbidden arts to wreak havoc and seek to sever the very foundations of China. Using his family's secret techniques, Chen Jiuyao breaks evil formations and subdues demons and monsters. Through trials of life and death, he finally understands the true meaning of guarding ancestral tombs: what he protects is not merely a grave, but the vast land of China and the countless homes illuminated by its lights.
