After both his parents pass away, Zhou Chaosheng and his younger sister are cruelly treated in the family division by his maternal uncle, Shen Dacheng, and receive nothing but a rusty sea-subduing harpoon. The siblings endure constant bullying from the Shen family until Ye Xiaoman steps in to help them. The harpoon conceals divine power that allows its wielder to detect resources beneath the sea. Using it, Zhou Chaosheng ventures out to sea to make a living, befriending a spirit bird named A Lang and a sea beast known as King Zhang. Despite the Shen family's repeated attempts to sabotage him, he joins forces with the island's fishermen to establish the Qingyu Seafood Cooperative, build a live seafood market and processing plant, and create the trusted brand Qingyu Fresh Seafood. He and Ye Xiaoman achieve success in both business and love while protecting the livelihoods of local fishermen. Après la mort successive de ses parents, Zhou Chaosheng doit affronter, avec sa jeune sœur, un partage d'héritage malveillant organisé par son oncle maternel, Shen Dacheng. Ils ne reçoivent qu'un harpon rouillé censé dompter la mer. Les deux enfants subissent les brimades incessantes de la famille Shen, jusqu'à ce que Ye Xiaoman leur vienne courageusement en aide. Le harpon dissimule un pouvoir divin qui permet de détecter les ressources sous-marines. Grâce à lui, Zhou Chaosheng prend la mer pour gagner sa vie et se lie d'amitié avec l'oiseau spirituel A Lang et la bête marine Zhang Wang. Malgré les nombreux obstacles dressés par la famille Shen, il s'associe aux pêcheurs de l'île pour créer la coopérative de produits de la mer Qingyu, construire un marché de produits de la mer vivants et une usine de transformation, puis développer la marque réputée « Produits Frais Qingyu ». Avec Ye Xiaoman, il réussit aussi bien en affaires qu'en amour, tout en protégeant les moyens de subsistance des pêcheurs locaux.
