Names on Makeup
Cheng Xiaohe is a talented wedding makeup artist, yet for years her work has been hidden under the name of Ye Man's 'premier team.' Her creations receive no credit, her pay is cut, and whenever something goes wrong, she is left to take the blame alone. After a dispute over a last-minute replacement at a wedding, she refuses to take responsibility for the company's misconduct and resolutely quits. From taking independent bookings to forming a team with Fang Qing, she navigates price wars, the struggle to attract clients, and business risks. Eventually, she establishes the Xiaohe Makeup Studio, insisting on proper credit, transparent pricing, and clearly defined responsibilities, so that everyone who genuinely does the work can have their own name recognized.
