Hu Pa, a project manager, is betrayed by his girlfriend, Ye Wanning, and his superior, Zhang Xinfeng, who have secretly joined forces against him. On April Fools' Day, consumed by rage, he unexpectedly discovers that the crumpled lottery ticket in his drawer has won an astonishing 297.9 billion. After claiming his prize, he decisively breaks up with his girlfriend, resigns, destroys his work files, and flies to Shanghai to support his younger sister, Hu Nan, who is working part-time while attending school. There, he meets the kind and considerate Liang Chi. When he returns to his hometown for Tomb-Sweeping Day, he tests his relatives' true intentions by asking them for money, exposing their mercenary nature. He settles old scores in front of everyone, donates money to support education, and funds road construction. Upon hearing about his newfound wealth, Ye Wanning travels thousands of miles to chase after his fortune, only to be publicly condemned across the internet and exposed for who she really is. In the end, Hu Pa gets engaged to Liang Chi and marries her. He returns home to establish a factory and leads the villagers toward prosperity—proving that luck can change one's destiny, but only by staying true to one's original intentions can one hold on to good fortune.
