Bright Moon, White Moth Presents Floating Life
A half-blind painter, Lin Shen, rescues a white moth on a rainy night and is bestowed with luminous immortal ink, becoming famous with a single painting and paying off his father's debts. Eager to climb into high society, he fakes blindness and plays the victim, forcing the white moth to break its wings to make ink. Unexpectedly, at a birthday banquet, the immortal painting grows moldy, his wealth and honor are completely destroyed, and his benefactor leaves. Falling back into the mud, he is rescued by A Miao, a tofu seller, and picks up his brush again with genuine skill. When a thousand taels of gold and an opportunity to enter the capital descend once more, he chooses instead to stay in the warmth of human life. Three years later, the wing-broken white moth returns through the snow; this time, he only wants to say sorry.
