Opening her eyes, Zhou Qiong finds she has transmigrated into a madwoman feared by everyone in an ancient mountain village, burdened with two frail, suffering children. The original host was mentally unstable, had bitten her own child, lived in absolute poverty, and suffered the cold disdain of neighbors. Upon regaining clarity, Zhou Qiong uses modern knowledge to reclaim wasteland, grow vegetables, repair the house, treat the neighboring grandparents and grandchild with kindness, and earn money by gathering medicinal herbs to improve their livelihood. She takes back the farmland seized by the eldest uncle, assists the third uncle's family, and leads the suffering children out of starvation and cold with her own hands. Working hard and steadily in the barren mountain village, she embarks on days of peace and joy.
