Lin Suining anonymously funded the poor student He Xiao for three years, and the two agreed to meet up in person upon starting university. On the first day of military training, the guiding senior He Xiao failed to recognize her, and in order to take care of the "delicate" Li Jiaojiao, he snatched away her heatstroke medicine, punished her to stand at attention under the scorching sun, causing her to suffer severe heatstroke. Lin Suining subsequently discovered that He Xiao actually used the funding money to buy gifts for Li Jiaojiao, and decisively paused the funding, cancelled the in-person meetup, and made a real-name report. He Xiao was investigated for violations, and Lin Suining transferred the scholarship trust to a genuinely needy classmate, ultimately winning the scholarship on her own strength and welcoming a brand-new life in the company of Jiang Yubai.
