Midnight, Do Not Pick Up Hitchhikers
On a suburban night road locked in thick fog, Lin Chen and his girlfriend Su Wan drive past and encounter a girl in a white skirt standing by a broken-down black BMW, waving for help. A mere act of kindness in giving a ride traps them in an endless cycle of death. Every time they perish, their memories are wiped clean to start over: the ghost in the rearview mirror, text messages ringing out inexplicably, and the lingering shadow closing in step by step. They capture fragmented clues in cycle after cycle, while strange occurrences emerge endlessly on the desolate road. Just when they think they have broken free from the nightmare and ushered in the end, unfamiliar handwriting quietly appears in the document, and the boundary between fiction and reality is quietly shattering.
