Half a Life of Wind and Rain, Wang Yulan Meets Spring
Exceptionally talented Wang Yulan was dedicated to her studies, but due to heavy family burdens and betrothal gifts, she was forced to interrupt her education and marry into a family as a wife. After marriage, she suffered countless grievances while also shouldering the heavy burden of her younger brother's medical treatment in her maiden family. She was dragged down by her eldest brother, mistreated by her former husband, and maliciously suppressed by peers. Yet she never bowed her head to hardship, making a living by weaving bamboo baskets. Fortunately, she received a helping hand from the honest carpenter Zhou Qingshan. Steadfast and sincere, she led the villagers to establish a cooperative, resolving crises one after another, and her repentant eldest brother also took the initiative to help out at home. Having weathered wind and rain, Wang Yulan supported two families with her own hands, guarding her kindness and bottom line, and ultimately harvested a career and genuine, warm companionship.
