Intern driver Gao Neng takes over the eerie midnight Bus Route 13 to gather money for his mother's surgery. The route is plagued by driver disappearances and strange driving rules. Seemingly timid and submissive, he is actually an undercover police officer who discovers the paranormal rumors are merely a cover for a drug trafficking syndicate. Navigating treacherous waters, Gao Neng gathers evidence against dispatch director Sun Kewei and syndicate boss Sister Hong, survives life-or-death tests, coordinates with the police, and ultimately takes down the kingpins and the entire trafficking ring, restoring peace to the bus route.
