In the Cangwu Realm, cultivation is founded upon mind-force. For a century, the Xingnian and Jingnian lineages have warred with each other, causing mind-force to stagnate and giving rise to the Mind Corrosion. Yun Qi, the last successor of the Xingnian sect, can perceive the breakpoints in the mind-stream, while Xie Linyuan, head disciple of Jingnian, suffers from a corroded right arm. Meeting at Broken Stele Cliff, the two shift from foes to allies. Guided by Gu Changgeng, keeper of the pavilion, they discover that the Mind Corrosion is born from the century-long locking and clashing of mind-force between both sects. Venturing deep into Mind Corrosion Valley, they use the Primordial Mind Lamp to seek out the Mind Eye, unravel the dead knot, and restore the flow of primordial mind-force, gradually repelling the corrosion. Xie Linyuan's arm heals, and Yun Qi's power grows.
