Zhao Shufen and Jiang Guofu have been remarried for ten years. Her husband gives their bedroom to his son, daughter-in-law, and grandson, tells her to move out, yet still expects her to come back to cook and look after the child. She temporarily moves in with a friend and stops providing financial support and doing the daily housework. When her rental period ends, she reclaims her own home and puts a stop to the Jiang family's plans to move in without permission, measure the rooms, and relocate furniture. When her husband injures himself in a fall, she takes care of him but also makes her son and daughter-in-law share the responsibility in shifts. After a month of trying to get along again, her husband once more agrees to look after the child without consulting her.
