Somut olmayan kültürel miras Hongyin Topluluğu'nun yedinci nesil mirasçısı Shen Hongsheng, sakin ve kurallara bağlı bir kişiliğe sahiptir; ata mirası suona başyapıtı "Anka Kuşuna Saygı Duruşunda Bulunan Yüz Kuş"u yaşam boyu bağlılığı olarak görür. Lin ailesinin reisinin cenazesinin arifesinde, baş çırak Ma Xiaofeng, kutlama patronu Qian Sihai ve Lin ailesinin ikinci genç efendisi Du Shaoheng tarafından ağır bir şekilde rüşvete baştan çıkarılarak ata mirası suonayı çalar, topluluğun dağılmasını kışkırtır ve zengin ailenin cenazesinde Shen Hongsheng'i herkesin önünde utandırmaya çalışır. Shen Hongsheng eski topluluk üyelerine tek yürek olarak birbirlerine yardım etmeleri için yalvarır; zengin ailenin kapısının önünde bir suona, Batı tarzı bir müzik grubuna meydan okur; cenaze alanında rakibin hesabını deşifre eder, haini cezalandırır ve suonayı geri alır. Yağmurlu dağın zirvesinde, "Anka Kuşuna Saygı Duruşunda Bulunan Yüz Kuş"u çalmak için tüm gücünü harcar; müzik çok etkileyicidir, binlerce kuş sesi duyunca akın eder ve tek bir ezgiyle şöhret kazanır.
