Missing the Evening Breeze, Also Missing the Stars
Cheng Wan is the only daughter of the richest man in Jiangcheng. Three years ago, she bet with her father for love, pretending to be poor to accompany Fu Shiyu for three years; if he didn't despise her, the Cheng family would belong to him. Over the three years, she kept a low profile and endured, and even secretly had the Cheng Group provide funding to the Fu Group. At his birthday banquet, her female friend Su Man publicly cursed her as a gold-digger, and Fu Shiyu didn't defend her at all, instead asking her if acting for three years meant she wanted to make a big score. Cheng Wan's heart died; she returned the watch, broke up, and withdrew all support from the Cheng Group. At the airport, Fu Shiyu preferred to believe Su Man's forced-marriage theory rather than recognize his own heart to ask Cheng Wan to stay. When the female lead took away the Cheng Group's capital injection and the company was on the verge of bankruptcy, Fu Shiyu only belatedly realized that he had lost both his love and the company, and it was too late to regret.
