Twin sisters marry into royalty by mistake, a substitute marriage leading to half a lifetime of misplaced destiny. A Li, who married the cold-faced prince in place of her elder sister, spent three years with him, only to be murdered in a conspiracy by her own closest kin. Becoming a departed soul lingering in the princely mansion, she helplessly watches her twin sister usurp her place and bask in his favor. As the prince gradually senses something amiss and pieces the truth together, the twin mystery is unraveled, and her injustice is finally vindicated. Where the pear blossoms fall, A Li reunites with her beloved daughter and an old acquaintance, bringing their misplaced fate full circle at last.
