After dying in childbirth, Shen Wanqing, with the help of the King of Hell, merged with the comatose Ninth Princess who had fallen into water, gaining dual memories. Filled with joy, she sought to marry her beloved Fu Yungui, only to find he had already brought back Liu Piaopiao, an orphan identical to her, believing her to be his deceased wife. Her repeated attempts to prove her identity resulted in humiliation, and dancing their private infantry drill at the wedding still failed to awaken his memory. Only when Liu Piaopiao's wicked deeds were exposed did Fu Yungui realize the truth. But Shen Wanqing's heart was already dead; she resolutely divorced him, took her child back to the palace to wield supreme imperial power as the Eldest Princess, while Fu Yungui gave away all his wealth in atonement and died in solitude.
