Yan Jinghong, a sweeping chore boy of the Qingyun Sect, finds the broken sword of the Sword Ancestor in the Sword Graveyard. Acknowledged as master by the sword spirit "Wuqiao", he fights his way from a universally mocked useless outcast all the way to the sect grand tournament. As the three-hundred-year-old secret of the Heavenly Gate surfaces, the Guixu Abyss is revealed beyond the Heavenly Gate. Using his sword heart as fuel, he protects the mortal fireworks, and exchanges his own voice for the voices of all under heaven. Returning voiceless, the mortal world echoes with his presence everywhere. The sword is not in hand, but in the heart.
