Mountain Flowers in Full Bloom
In the mid-1970s, Shandong youth Chang Shan responded to the call to support the border regions, taking a truck for seven days and seven nights to arrive at Halabula, a small village on the Xinjiang border. Upon first arriving at the frontier, he lived in a rudimentary dugout dwelling, was mocked by Kazakh herdsman Saerhazi for not knowing how to ride a horse, and was also quietly observed by the old team leader Yin Dehou. In this village where snowstorms and the Gobi intertwine, Chang Shan learned from scratch, blacksmithing with blacksmith Dai Deli and riding horses and herding sheep with Saerhazi, gradually growing from a frail city kid into a resilient, skilled youth. This drama is adapted from Meng Qinghai's novel of the same name, Mountain Flowers in Full Bloom.
