Returning restorer Zhuan Xin arrives back in Brick Carving Village. Confronted with piles of discarded bricks and the dying craft of brick carving, she resolves to revitalize the old bricks by founding a brick carving restoration workshop and a night festival. Initially, the veteran craftsman Zhuan Ye has reservations, livestreams face skepticism, and a rainstorm damages their materials. Yet, united as one, the village rallies together: the master craftsman shares his classic patterns, and the villagers contribute their own skills to overcome quality and operational challenges. The night festival proves a hit, the handcrafted brick carvings gain widespread acclaim, and the parents of left-behind child Xiao Zhuan are inspired to return home. With a recycled-brick system established and successors found for the heritage craft, new stories are carved upon old bricks, illuminating the entire mountain village.
