Shen Hui, a young maiden of Half-Paper Studio, guards the painting workshop left by her grandfather. Inside a painting titled "Listening to the Snow," the painting soul Gu Qingmo is hidden. One lonely and guarding the studio, the other trapped within an ancient painting, a single bout of muttering aloud allows the youth within the painting to step out of the scroll.
