Before a job interview, modern girl Su Qianqian dreams of an ancient inn, where a scholar with a crescent birthmark begs for her help. The birthmark and an electric shock become the switch for time travel. By coincidence, she helps CEO Guan Yuchen drive away his unwanted fiancée. During her interview, she discovers the CEO is none other than the scholar from her dreams. When footage of their accidental kiss is leaked, an electric shock triggers their travel back to the ancient inn. Adopting the identity of Su Xiaoqian, she revamps the inn with modern goods, later returning to reality to help Guan Yuchen overcome his crisis. In the end, an electric shock leaves her unconscious, where she completes their wedding in a dream. Waking up, she reunites with Guan Yuchen at a real-life inn, quietly continuing their predestined love.
