Su Nian, a graduate student at the conservatory of music, went out carrying an antique 1720 Stradivarius cello. On her way, she was knocked down by Chen Zi'ang, who made an illegal right turn in his car. Instead of admitting his fault, Chen Zi'ang, egged on by his companions, used a golf club to smash the cello, even bribing bystanders to give false witness and exaggerating his car's damage. Facing his provocation, Su Nian calmly called the police to preserve evidence. After an insurance investigation, antique appraisal, and surveillance footage review, the true value of the despised antique instrument was brought to light. As his lies fell apart one after another, Chen Zi'ang's reckless actions finally brought him legal consequences.
