The day I caught my husband cheating with my adopted younger sister, he shamelessly shoved a divorce agreement in my face. I signed without crying or making a scene because I alone knew that a catastrophic heatwave would arrive in half a month. In my previous life, I had clung to my unfaithful husband and refused to divorce him, only for the two of them to watch me die from the heat outside my own front door without opening it. Reborn, I am determined to break free of that toxic relationship, prepare for the apocalypse, and secure my survival. All I want from the divorce is an old wooden chest left behind by my late parents. Hidden inside is a rusty key to an abandoned courtyard in my hometown, where a secret underground cellar offers my only hope of surviving the coming heat apocalypse. With fifteen days left before disaster strikes, I will make sure I am the one laughing last.
