My Homestead, You Cannot Snatch It Away
Rural widow Li Xiufen went to the city to take care of her grandson and return to the village, only to find that her old family house had been occupied by her brother-in-law Chen Jianguo's family and rebuilt into a two-story Western-style building, and her husband's portrait and relics were thrown into a stinking pigsty. Brother-in-law's family not only demanded the homestead deed for their son Chen Qiang to get married, but even framed Li Xiufen for stealing a gold ring and rallied the village elders to put pressure on her. When she learned that her brother-in-law was doing it for the relocation compensation, Li Xiufen stopped swallowing her anger, used the deed to legally apply for cutting off water, electricity, and gas, and teamed up with enthusiastic junior Zhao Hu to fight fire with fire against the rogue family.
