During a terrible famine, a man dies of illness only to return from the dead as a living skeleton. To protect his wife and daughter, he wears bionic gloves to conceal his true form, tears apart wild tigers to obtain milk, beats down local bullies, and awakens demonic powers to hunt and provide for his family. Caught between battling wicked foes and suffering the backlash of heavenly law that constantly cracks his bones, he leads the villagers through the famine after his wife leaves home. Yet a villain exposes his true skeletal form. When the entire village discovers he is a skeleton, instead of being terrified, they fight to the death to protect him. Transcending life and death, their family bonds and genuine kindness weave an agonizing yet heartwarming story of counterattack in a chaotic world.
