Xie Yanci spent seven years as a stay-at-home husband. When his wife, Ji Tang, awakened her memories as the Nine Heavens Mystical Maiden and their beloved dog, Nian Nian, transformed into the Zhaoning Divine Dragon, they despised him for being a mere mortal and abandoned him to ascend to the Immortal Realm. But when he pulled off the dust cover, he discovered that their so-called Immortal Realm was nothing more than his home ecological tank. Using everyday tools, Xie Yanci takes control of the miniature world inside the tank and uncovers a plot by the Immortal Emperor, who seeks to break the seals on Ji Tang and the dragon to invade the mortal world. Guided by his father's residual soul, his wedding ring, and seven years of earthly bonds, Xie Yanci devises a plan to seal the Immortal Emperor with three shackles, saving Ji Tang and Nian Nian so the family of three can return to their peaceful mortal life.
