In the 1980s, I Become Brothers with My Dad
The three Xie brothers, Xie Changgui, Xie Ergou, and Xie Tuzi, are powerful and influential, throwing their weight around the village. Ma Weiguo, an outsider who settled in the area, has endured years of bullying at their hands. Ma Jianjun, who has spent his life struggling to survive, works hard to make something of himself, believing that this will finally allow his father, Ma Weiguo, to live out his later years with dignity and comfort. But then he learns that his father was beaten to death by the Xie family. As he rushes back to his hometown, he gets into a car accident and unexpectedly travels back to 1980, where he meets his father, Ma Weiguo, as a young man.
