Neighbor's Chicken Eats My Vegetables, And She Says I Am Unreasonable
Zhou Cheng returns to the village to lease vegetable plots for growing medicinal herbs and off-season vegetables. Unexpectedly, free-range chickens from his second aunt's family break into the plots every day to ravage the crops. Not only does the second aunt refuse to care, she even personally pulls up vegetables and scatters chicken feed, turning around to scold Zhou Cheng for being petty and unreasonable. Zhou Cheng does not make a fuss; he sets up nets, takes photos, and keeps a ledger entry by entry, gradually discovering that banned chemical agents have been buried at the roots of the medicinal herbs by someone, and the vegetable shed's water pipes and wires have also been sabotaged. Behind the scenes, it turns out that the acquisition agent Boss Wang instigated the second aunt and her son to do this, attempting to force him into breaching the contract and lowering prices. Using surveillance, sampling, and recordings as evidence, Zhou Cheng calls the police to hold them accountable. The wicked are brought to justice, the second aunt wakes up to her wrongdoing, and she takes the initiative to fence in her chickens and set up rules. A storm stirred up by chickens finally settles the rules among neighbors.
