New Year's Day, A Maid Counterattacks to Protect Her Mother (80 episodes)

In her previous life, on New Year's Day, the menial maid A Yuan was framed by Secondary Consort Lin Yuerou for stealing bird's nest soup. She watched helplessly as her blind mother was beaten to death in the snow, and she was murdered as well. Reborn, she vows to protect her mother with her life, only to stumble upon the Old Dowager Princess—who went incognito to test Lin Yuerou—being brutally tortured. Risking her life to save the Dowager, A Yuan wins the favor of both the Prince and his mother and is elevated to Secondary Consort. Lin Yuerou had falsely claimed credit for saving the Prince on the battlefield years ago, faked a pregnancy, hired assassins, and poisoned others to frame A Yuan. One by one, her schemes unravel. Ultimately, with solid witnesses and evidence, A Yuan exposes all of Lin Yuerou's crimes, leaving the wicked consort to rot in the cold palace and reap what she sowed. Avenged at last, A Yuan shields her mother in peace and secures a firm standing in the Prince's manor.
