Nine Locks Trap Bai Yao, A Benevolent Heart Resolves Old Grudges
Rural veterinarian Li Yongchuan went into the mountains to gather herbs and accidentally discovered Bai Yao, the Second Qilin Prince imprisoned by nine Qilin-suppressing locks. Bai Yao is resented by his older brother Mo Yuan due to old grudges over the distribution of their father King's territory, and has been trapped in the Qilin-suppressing Pool for years, suffering from demonic mist erosion. Disregarding hardships, Li Yongchuan overcomes heavy rain, injuries, and Mo Yuan's threats, using herbal fumigation to help Bai Yao break his chains. Freed, Bai Yao uses his life-protecting Qilin pearl to cure Li Yongchuan's congenitally frail daughter, Xiao Xing. The Qilin King awakens, the two brothers confront each other, and past favoritism and grievances are fully laid bare. Just as earth veins rupture and mountain floods rage, Mo Yuan suddenly sees the light, putting aside private grievances with Bai Yao to join hands in disaster relief.
