Nineties Mountain Foraging: After Falling Off a Cliff I Was Recognized As Monkey King by a Troop of Monkeys
In the nineties, mountain gatherer Lin Ye found an old wild ginseng, only to have it snatched by his ex-girlfriend Su Man and mountain goods boss Zhao Kun, who also pushed him off a cliff to silence him. Lin Ye fell into a water-curtain cave, where the wooden monkey pendant left by his father awakened the Spirit Ape King Pact, allowing him to understand monkey language and borrow the strength of the monkey troop, with male monkey Dou Bao and old monkey Jin Ye leading the pack to follow him. Together with the monkeys, he tacitly gathered mountain treasures, and established a cooperative with village doctor Lin Xiaoman. Zhao Kun's greed knew no bounds as he colluded with poachers and set fire to the mountains. Lin Ye joined hands with the villagers to expose his crimes, resulting in Zhao Kun going to prison and Su Man getting her retribution. Lin Ye intensely cultivated under-forest planting to protect the mountains. Deep in the dense forest, another king pact awakened, and new opportunities awaited.
